Fire Safety for Fire Marshals Training Description
A Fire Safety for Fire Marshal training course with a mix of classroom/practical and online/theory. Developed in line with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 guidelines.
The essential practical skills are delivered face-to-face (required by some property management landlords) and additional workplace fire safety theory is completed online.
This blended fire safety training will provide employees and managers with the essential information for compliance with their legal requirements for fire safety in the workplace.
Learners will come away with an understanding of fire risks and threats and be able to apply this knowledge to their specific workplace.
Topics covered during the onsite/face-to-face Fire Safety training course:
- Fire Blanket: hands-on practical
- Extinguisher Practical: Attendees have the opportunity to discharge extinguishers in a controlled environment (CO2 and a foam or water fire extingusher). This is an important aspect of this blended fire safety training. It may be required by the property management company/owner/landlord of your business property.
The additional fire safety course topics delivered online:
- Role of a Fire Marshall: Understand the responsibilities and duties of a designated fire marshal. Including UK fire safety laws.
- Managing fire safety in the workplace: principles and practice
- Understanding Fire & Heat: spread, transfer, ignition
- Fire Drills & Evacuation: Understand the importance of drills and safe evacuation procedures and signage.
- Fire Risk Assessment & Emergency Plans: Workplace risks/hazards/unsafe behaviours and how to develop emergency plans.
- Fire Prevention & Controls: housekeeping, active & passive controls.
- Extinguisher Recognition: Identify different types of fire extinguishers and their meaning
Fire Safety Qualification Number: 301881
